Red hill estate in victoria's mornington peninsula is a boutique winery producing cool climate varieties. The picturesque vineyard is also home to max's restaurant, a stylish dining experience. Key options include chardonnay, pinot noir and pinot grigio, which are available to purchase from the cellar door daily.

At an altitude of anywhere between 40 and 300m, and with soils that range from volcanic to sedimentary, the Mornington Peninsula is blessed with a cool maritime climate that creates one of the unique combinations of any wine producing region in the world. Wines that have elegance, regional character, finesse classic style. Additionally we also picked up a host of other accolades for many of our other huge Nippy Climate wines. However, our wine making team meticulously adopt the alike philosophy towards all our wines in their pursuit of wine perfection. Our core range our Estate, Merrick Grove and Single Vineyard wines are complemented by excess offerings that cover our Cellar Door Release, an occasional Regional Releases line (where we put a little Che spin on classic varieties from classic regions) as healthy as Sparkling and Sweeter selections. On the nose there are pronounced aromas of citrus and caramelized pear, whilst on the palate it is pretty fleshy with soft, crisp acids and delicately balanced flavors of baked fruits and pastry. Our 2016 Estate Range 'Cool Climate' Chardonnay shows a great concentration of white peach, nectarine and white flower blossom on the nose. There are tropical fruits such as pineapple, honeydew and ripe peach that seamlessly integrate with a steady structured acidity on the palate. Displaying aromas of refreshing citrus and lime zest, floral notes and a hint of musk on the nose, it is easy on the palate with freshly cut pears, some minerality and orderly acidity back bone. Our 2015 Estate Range 'Cool Climate' Sauvignon Blanca shows aroma’s of Gooseberry, new snow peas, lime melon all combined with undertones of tropical fruit and green apple. The wine has generous length of aroma’s and flavors that load the palate and hang around for quite a while, whilst the acid is crisp and delicate. The creaminess through the middle palate and the oh so subtle hint of oak, makes this wine an absolute amusement to drink. Pronounced aromas of Christmas cake lead to layered flavors of clove and nutmeg that mix seamlessly with red and dark berries and a abundant helping of wealthy stewed plums Aging in the best oak barrels delivers a lingering finish of cedar, chocolate and mocha. It also displays an elegant, sweet (yet balanced) palate that displays a pretty crisp line of acid. Upfront and sophisticated, the wine has pronounced hints of vanilla and on the palate there are generous flavors of rich plum, cassia, rhubarb and fruit cake that blend with an invigorating and tangy acidity to bear huge intensity and succulence. With a fine, affectionate bouquet of melon and toasty oak, this wine is an absolute delight a orderly minerality on the palate and complicated layers of melon, peach and oak. In the glass, it's color is a distinct mid yellow whilst on the nose there is a exquisite bouquet of lifted stone fruit and sweet vanillin oak. On the palate, it is a stuffed bodied, elegant Chardonnay that is healthy balanced with fruit, acidity and robust oak integration. The palate is a authentic delight and delivers an abundance of cherry fruit that lingers and flows into a wealth of integrated oak. This notable wine is usual of the cool climate region and will reward immediately, however careful collaring will see it achieve truly excellent returns. The wine is deep purple in color with aromas of dismal cherry raspberry and has subtle hints of spice white pepper that lead to an intensely flavored, healthy rounded (yet relatively soft) mouth feel of dark fruits, blackberries oak influenced raspberries. The wine displays wealthy and succulent blackcurrant and red berry characters that blend with a hint of cassia.
