As well as classical ballet the school offers classes in jazz and tap with teachers specialised in their discipline. Miss sue also holds a bachelor of education and is currently a teacher in specialist education. During this year children have participated in examinations, conventions and scholarships, along with the preparation for the last of year performances. A very triumphant year was again had by the school and all are looking forward to next year being the 50th year of teaching for Miss Sue and the School. The concert of 2010 was dedicated to Mrs Marie Miller (Miss Sue’s Mum) without her encouragement and encourage the school would not have developed. After much discussion between teachers it was decided that the scholarship award for 2012 would be shared and awarded to both: Ruby Morel Chiara Menelotto. (This is formerly the site of the Library of the used Mornington Tall School). Behind moving into our fresh home in 2009, Students, Teachers and Parents all agreed that the facilities are extraordinary and have contributed greatly to the Ballet School on a whole. The bright surrounds and spacious studios cannot assist but generating enthusiasm among st all apprehensive and every one is just waiting for the begin of 2012. Both studio’s are air conditioned and have great lighting, with polished timber floors they make for a incredible dancing experience for all students from beginners to seniors. This year 2011 saws another addition to the Spruce and Ballet School family with the arrival of Oliver, a son to Roshae Ash. Oliver’s arrival was a trivial older than expected being about 12 weeks early infant. Now is the time to convert Ash, as he thinks he will be able to terminate Orly from becoming a dancer. Good luck with that ASH, Miss Sue may have something to say about that!! All students are expected to wear the school’s uniform for each class. All students will have their hair tied back and clean earlier class. We hope every one had a incredible Christmas and a very Sound Glad Fresh Year, and remember: Hoping again for a very good response on the day with many new students and parents attending the day.
